How to Use the Pairing Mode Button on Your Echo Dot
If you want to connect your Echo Dot to another device, you should press the pairing mode button on your device’s top. This button is known as the action button, and it has a dot in the center. Pressing this button will put your Echo Dot into pairing mode, and you can connect other devices. Here are some ways to use this button to connect your Echo Dot to another device. This is a helpful feature for those who have problems pairing the device.
First, you have to open the Alexa app on your phone and choose Devices. From there, select Bluetooth. Choose the speaker or device you’d like to connect. Once you’ve selected it, say “Pair” to reconnect the device. After you’ve connected the device, you can play music, podcasts, or videos with Alexa. You can also connect your Echo to other devices with voice commands. If you don’t have a Bluetooth speaker, you can also use a 3.5mm audio cable to connect it.
Once you’ve paired your Dot to your Echo device, you can use its buttons to control the volume. The Plus and Minus buttons allow you to control the volume, and the white light ring around the Echo shows the current volume. Pressing and holding the microphone button turns on a red light, and the microphone will be off. If you disable the microphone, you can still use the action button to issue commands to Alexa.
